Morgan Smith · AI and Marketing Transformation Manager, Accenture · New York area
About Morgan Smith
For eight years I've worked where marketing strategy meets execution: first running Accenture's global website like a product, and now leading AI adoption across its 2,000-person marketing function.
I'm at my best with a messy cross-functional problem, a skeptical audience, and permission to build something.
Career arc
The through-line: every role I've had has been about getting a lot of people to work a new way.
- 2025 to now
AI and Marketing Transformation Manager.
I lead the AI roadmap for the marketing function: 100% of the org onboarded to the enterprise AI platform, a champion network I founded, and 14 agents in production with engineering partners.
- 2022 to 2025
Digital Strategy, Accenture.com.
I owned the strategy, roadmap, and backlog for a global B2B site spanning 50 countries, and led the content side of a full redesign. Engagement rose 24% and bounce rate fell 25%. I presented the site's role in a marquee brand campaign to our CMO, and wrote the CMO's message to the leadership team on the new site's results.
- 2020 to 2022
Marketing Specialist to Associate Manager, Accenture.
Research launches, integrated campaigns, and client case studies. I also ran my first adoption program here, moving a team off scattered spreadsheets and onto Monday.com, three years before AI made that skill a job title.
- 2018 to 2019
Engine.
Agency foundations: global rebrands, an RFP library, and a youth insights newsletter with 30,000+ subscribers.
- Education
BA, Economics, Colorado College
“She has dug into learning AEM / authoring which is beyond what we would typically expect from a business partner.”
“On more than one occasion been the sole reason the project met certain delivery deadlines.”
“Her introduction of the ‘product approach’ was particularly noteworthy.”
How I lead
Most of my leadership has run through influence: matrixed teams, a champion network, and 30 digital strategists I trained and led as a functional group through a site-wide design system rollout. I've also managed writers directly. My style is to set a clear brief, make decisions quickly, and credit people loudly.

“Morgan demonstrates leadership DNA.”
“You never miss opportunities to acknowledge team members for their contributions, which is why people feel genuinely invested in making your projects a success.”
“She’s clear, patient and always readily available… all the qualities you want in a manager.”
What people say
“I recommend her strongly for interesting and challenging assignments.”
“Absorbing stress and diffusing serenity, like a true ship captain.”
Outside work
Outside work, I'm usually on a mountain or at my jewelry bench. Skiing taught me to commit to a line. Jewelry taught me that the details are the work.
What's next
I'm looking for a Director or Senior Manager role leading AI adoption in marketing, where the job is turning AI strategy into how a whole function works. New York area or remote.
